Tarnished Foil Technique

I was looking through Pinterest the other day and saw a really cool stamping technique!  It’s called the Tarnished Foil technique. I thought I’d try it out this weekend, and if I could figure out how to do it, I’d design a card for my Stamp Club coming up on January 19th.  The card below it my test case (after one failure!)  It looks pretty similar to the examples I saw,… Read More »

For Christmas, I always give my nephews money.  (It’s what they want!) Last week was our 26th wedding anniversary!  When I think back on the day we were married, it was a crisp Fall day in Yosemite National Park.  The scenery was gorgeous, and it was especially beautiful because of the Fall colors. How Do You Find The Words?

Last week, we received some devastating news.  It’s hard to even type this.  Our dear friends lost their son, who was only 36 years old.  These are friends we’ve know for over 30 years, in fact one was a groomsman in our wedding.  They are the nicest, most wonderful people, and it’s just heart wrenching to think about what they are going through.  Honestly, I have a hard time thinking… Read More »

Trick or Treat!

It’s almost Halloween! My kids may be off at college, but they are still kids at heart.  So, I decided to make them both treat bags and sent them off in the mail last week as a surprise.  Both of them are deep into the first semester/quarter of their respective colleges.  And, this is about the time when the thrill of being away at college wears off, and the hard work really… Read More »
