The new 2024-2025 Annual Catalog is coming soon! It will be going live on May 1, 2024. To me, one of the most exciting things about a new Annual Catalog are the new In Colors! Each year, Stampin’ Up! adds five new, trendy colors to its color pallette to enhance the core colors and stay current with the latest fashions and designs.
New colors are exciting because they make everything old new again. The new In Colors work beautifully with each other, as well as the 2023-2025 In Colors. Another exciting thing is that every year, when Stampin’ Up! introduces the new In Colors, they also update the Color Coach! I love using this tool as a starting block for designing cards and discovering combinations I never would have thought up on my own.

I have a binder, where I keep all the Color Coaches for the current and previous years. I reference it almost every time I start a new project.
Here are a few other color tips I’ve compiled over the years:
- Pick colors from the same Color family
- Use the color wheel and color theory suggestions on page 132-133 of the new Annual Catalog
- Copy color combinations from your favorite Designer Series Papers
- Keep it simple, go monochromatic with only one color but varying tones of light and dark
- Match colors to an event (i.e. school colors, party theme, wedding colors)
- Go dramatic, try black & white and one pop of color
