Happy Friday! This week, the TGIF Color Challenge includes Blueberry Bushel, Bubble Bath, and Parakeet Pary. It’s a bright and cheery combo that immediately made me think of parties, fun, and celebrations. So, I decided to break out the Zany Zoo Bundle and create something cute.
The Zany Zoo Stamp Set and coordinating designer series paper feature lots of darling animals, including this gator. He seems so happy, coasting along on his bike. I thought it would be fun to tie a bunch of balloons to his tail.
I stamped the gator with Stazon ink on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and then watercolored him with the challenge colors, as well as Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate.
In the background, I used the Patchwork Pieces Dies to cut Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and then watercolored the individual sections with Parakeet Party and Blueberry Bushel ink. After the pieces dried, I splattered them with Craft White ink.
Tip: I adhered the Patchwork Pieces die-cuts to a slightly larger layer of cardstock to help align and layer them.
The Zany Zoo Dies include the sweet scallop border and banner dies used on this card! It’s a really great set!!!
