The Stamping Station — Timeless Design with Neutral Noel Suite

Welcome to the Stamping Station Blog Hop for September 2026! We’re a group of worldwide demonstrators that get together on the third Sunday of each month to inspire your paper crafting. This month, our theme is “Timeless Design.” We are designing elegant, vintage projects with timeless designs that we find ourselves returning to time and time again.

When I thought of the theme, the Neutral Noel Suite Collection immediately came to mind. I LOVE everything about this suite … the elegant, neutral colors, gold accents, beautiful pines, brocade prints, and traditional sentiments. It’s as timeless as I can image. As for design, what’s more timeless than a wreath for Christmas?

There are so many great products included in this suite collection! It includes both the Welcome Noel and Noel Tidings Bundles, elegant Neutral Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP), subtle Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder, Neutral Jute Collection, and Gold Adhesive Backed Dots. Honestly, the whole suite was the first item in my shopping cart when demonstrators could preorder from the September-December Catalog, and I’ve been patiently waiting to use it! (Sorry, I’m not a Christmas in July person, I dearly love Summer!)

Because there was so much, and the elements are fairly large, I decided to make a slimline card measuring 8-1/2″ x 4″ to give myself plenty of elbow room. I wanted to ensure that that gorgeous Neutral Noel DSP was visible.

To make the wreath fuller, I cut it out twice from Mossy Meadow Two-Tone Cardstock, once from the light side and once from the dark side. Then, I cut apart the dark wreath. The die-cut is actually very easy to cut apart; there are very distinct breaks where I only had to make one and at the very most two snips.

After cutting apart the pines, I added some shading to both the pines and the other wreath with a Small Blending Brush and Mossy Meadow ink and then added “snow” with white embossing powder. Tip: Use a Sponge Dauber to add ink to the areas you want to add snow. Then, dip the die-cut in white embossing powder and either use your finger or the brush from the Embossing Additions Kit to thin out and rub off any unwanted embossing powder. Then, heat set.

The “berries” are actually Gold Adhesive Backed Dots. I used a light Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends Marker to color them. However, the marker added too much color, so I used some 91% Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol and a paper towel to remove some of the color and let some of the gold show back through. I love how this turned out! Caution: Be careful how much rubbing alcohol you use, as too much will start to remove the adhesive backing. If that happens, just let it dry until the dots adhere again.

To create the pinecones, I embossed them in gold on Pecan Pie Cardstock.

I used two of the houses to create my multi-level house. I cut each one several times from Wood Grain Designer Series Paper (Pecan Pie pattern for the houses and Early Espresso pattern for the roofs.) I also cut the front one from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock for the door. It was easy to trim the pieces and glue them together. Then for the windows, I die-cut the outlines from Basic White Cardstock and then used Paper Snips to trim them down a little so it didn’t show.

On the inside of the card, I stamped the houses and deer with Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie ink. I inked up the stamps with Crumb Cake and then used a Sponge Dauber to add Pecan Pie highlights. The really cool thing is that the die-cut for the houses is super wide, so it easily accommodated my slimline card. For the trees, I cut them from the light side of Mossy Meadow Cardstock, added some ink blending with Mossy Meadow ink, and then used a Sponge Dauber to add white embossed snow.

The sentiments are heat embossed in gold on Basic White Cardstock.
