Color Fuser Blog Hop — November 2026 — Winter Adventures

By | November 2, 2026

Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for November 2026. Our color combination this month includes Peaceful Pine, Pretty Peacock, and Cherry Cobbler — which is totally gorgeous!!! I decided to pull out the Winter Adventures Bundle. It’s an Online Exclusive that I immediately fell in love with. These colors seemed like the perfect opportunity.

The Winter Adventures Bundle coordinates with the Alpine Winter Designer Series Paper used in the background and under the sentiment of my card. That paper also has sheets of beautifully watercolored pinecones. And while the images on the patterned paper were a little large for my project, I used them as inspiration for stamping and coloring the pinecones on this card. I inked up the stamp with Peaceful Pine ink, used a Sponge Dauber to add Pecan Pie ink to the pinecones, and then stamped on Basic White Cardstock. Afterwards, I used a Water Painter to add additional “pine” brushstrokes with both Peaceful Pine and Pretty Peacock ink. Then, I used the Water Painter to slightly blend the ink on the pinecones.

The Winter Adventure Dies have a few impression style dies included (large oval with trees and the large snowflake.) Those die require an Impression Plate to really show off their beauty. Also, it helps to give the cardstock a little spritz before die-cutting to loosen the fibers. I die-cut the large oval with trees from Peaceful Pine Cardstock and the snowflakes from Basic White Cardstock.

I die-cut the individual trees from both the light and dark sides of Pretty Peacock Two-Tone Cardstock and the snowshoes from the light side of Pecan Pie Two-Tone Cardstock. Then, I added ink blending to the trees with Pretty Peacock ink and the snowshoes with Pecan Pie ink. Since the trees had some ink on them, I also dipped them in some white embossing powder and used my fingers to thin it out. (Messy but effective!) After heat setting, the powder looks like snow.

As a final touch, I also used a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to add splatter to the background and trees.

I used similar techniques to complete pieces for the card inside and then added a bow stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink.
