Stampin’ Fancy Friday — Mini But Mighty with Welcome Noel

By | October 21, 2026

Hello Stamping Friends. Our theme for October’s Stampin’ Fancy Friday is “Mini But Mighty.” I immediately thought of the sweet little houses and trees from the Welcome Noel Bundle for this theme. They’re so cute! I combined that bundle with the gorgeous Whispering Woods Designer Series Paper to create this card. That paper looks watercolored and I love, love, love the colors including Night of Navy, Pretty Peacock, Azure Afternoon, and Garden Green.

To see all the designers’ projects using this month’s theme, keep an eye on the Stampin’ Fancy Friday Facebook and Instagram pages. We’d also love to see any of your projects using our theme! Be sure to tag them with @stampinfancyfriday so we can find and admire them!

You’d be surprised at how easy it was to make this card! I simply die-cut strips of the designer series paper, added a little ink blending for contrast and then layered the strips. The first layer is from a strip of Basic White Cardstock that I lightly watercolored with Azure Afternoon ink. Afterwards, I heat embossed the mini houses in white and die-cut them.

The next level of houses is die-cut from the Whispering Woods DSP and blended with Night of Navy ink. Each time I die-cut a different layer, I slightly offset the die a bit. The great thing about both the house and tree dies is that they are very wide so there’s lots of room to play around with placement.

The following layers of trees are ink blended with Pretty Peacock, Azure Afternoon, and Garden Green ink respectively.

Next, I used a White Gel Pen to draw tiny dots and create all the “snowy” accents as well as the snow on the second layer of houses.

I stamped my greetings using the coordinating Noel Tidings Stamp Set. The one on the front is stamped on silver Metallic Effects Specialty Paper. Wow, is that paper super pretty in real life. It’s very glittery and looks great on holiday cards.

The final touches were lots of gorgeous Adhesive Backed Snowflakes and some old retired Silver & White Sheer Ribbon.

Here’s a look at the inside.

I hope this card has inspired you. If you’re like me, it’s time to start making lots of holiday cards.

Have a wonderful and creative day!
