#TGIFC600 — Celebrating 600! | Swimming In Stamps

Welcome to a new TGIF Challenges and this is a BIG ONE! We are celebrating our 600th challenge with the inspirating photo below!!! That’s A LOT of challenges!

I’ve been lucky enough to be part of this design team since TGIF Challenge #140 in December 2017! Since then, I’ve grown to be close friends with many of the designers and cherish their creativity and inspiration over the years.

When I looked at the inspiration photo, I saw bright, happy colors and a circus. I don’t have any circus themed products, so I focused on the colors and a celebration.

I decided to use the Classic Greetings Hot Foil Dies because I love the big “celebrate” greeting, as well as the Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper (DSP) because it had similar colors to the inspiration photo. I also included the Swiss Dots Hot Foil Dies in the background since it looks like confetti.

When I think of a celebration, I think of party banners. So, I used the smallest Party Banner Dies to cut out Beautiful Ordinary Life DSP and then strung the individual banners together with strands of white and vanilla baker’s twine.

Afterwards, I decided to emphasize the sentiment by using both sides of Flirty Flamingo Two-Tone Cardstock and building a shadow effect.
