The Stamping Station — “Bird Song”

Welcome to the Stamping Station Blog Hop for October 2026! We’re a group of worldwide demonstrators that get together on the third Sunday of each month to inspire your paper crafting. This month’s theme is “Bird Song.” We are designing projects featuring birds, music, or maybe even treetops where the birds might sing.

My choices were limited for this theme, so I had to get really creative! I used some sweet little doves from the Woodland Wishes Stamp Set as well as a perfect sentiment! Then I added some Yuletide Carols Designer Series Paper (DSP) with music notes!!! To tie everything together, I also added some Holly Jolly Branches tree die-cuts.

I stamped the deer and doves with Basic Black Hybrid ink on Basic White Cardstock and colored them with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Colors include Pecan Pie, Crumb Cake, Lost Lagoon and Pool Party. I also used a Color Lifter Stampin’ Blend Marker to blend to white and add dots to the deer’s back.

To create the trees, I used Blending Brushes to randomly add Secret Sea, Pretty Peacock, Misty Moonlight and Lost Lagoon ink to a layer of Basic White Thick Cardstock. Then, I used a Water Painter to repeatedly splatter clear water over the paper. After the paper dried, I die-cut and trees and used a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to add glitter splatter to both the trees and background.

In the background, I roughed up the edges of the Yuletide Carols DSP and then added layers of snow by ripping Basic White Cardstock. Prior to adding the snow layers to the card front, I used a Blending Brush to add a little Lost Lagoon ink.

The last touch was to stamp the sentiment with Secret Sea ink and then use a Noel Tidings label die to cut it out. Afterwards, I unraveled some Neutrals Jute and used two single strands of Basic Beige to tie the bow.

On the inside, I have another sentiment from the Woodland Wishes Stamp Set that I die-cut with a Holly Jolly Branches label die.
