April 2020 Desktop Calendars

It’s time for another edition of my 2020 desktop calendars. I try to design one of these 4″ x 6″ calendars each month for the following year, so I have eight sets to hand out to friends and family as gifts at Christmastime. Making these calendars is a great way to showcase my favorite products of the season and get full use of retiring products. So for April, I decided… Read More »

November 2019 Desktop Calendars

Remember the card I created yesterday with the Winter Woods stamp set?  Well, I decided I loved it so much, I would use the same basic concept to create a November 2019 desktop calendar page! I changed the colors to coordinate with a sheet of the Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper, and I think it’s one of my favorite calendar pages to date! I printed the calendar page on Shimmery White… Read More »

December 2018 Desktop Calendar

I frequently work on projects and photograph them on the weekends.  Then, during my lunches at work, I write them up on my blog.  Well last week, I had every intention of writing up this article.  In fact, I had just started on Wednesday, when my daughter surprised me.  She had left school at 3:30 AM to drive home and beat the traffic, and she was so excited to be… Read More »

November 2018 Desktop Calendar

Today, I’m sharing my November 2018 desktop calendar.  I think this is my favorite one to date!!!  It features one of my favorite stamp sets, Painted Harvest, and one of my favorite techniques — stamping and spritzing.  This messy and sort of “uncontrolled” watercoloring technique really appeals to me. I think you’ll be amazed at how easy this page was to create.  I simply cut the largest square Stitched Shape… Read More »

October 2018 Desktop Calendar

For my October 2018 desktop calendar, I used the Pick A Pumpkin bundle from the Holiday catalog.  I particularly love the detailed pumpkin outline die cut and swirls.  They’re so pretty!  I also adore the various pumpkins and leaf shapes.  You can use this bundle to make cutesy projects with Jack-O-Lanterns, or more elegant projects like this one. I used colors from a recent Global Design Project color challenge, including Tangerine Tango,… Read More »
