Magnolia Memories Gift Box

By | August 6, 2019

Looking for a quick way to create a small gift box? Check out the new Mini Shipping Boxes! They are so adorable and a perfect way to wrap small gifts for crafting friends.

I created this gift box for my Stamp Club in July. It’s actually a lot easier than it looks.

I simply created a belly band with a wide strip of Woven Textures Designer Series Paper. After finger folding it around the box, I burnished the folds with a Bone Folder and adhered it together with some hot glue. (I had it all ready to go, since I was creating the flowers next.)

I created the flowers using the Magnolia Memory Dies. There are three flower building dies in that die cutting set. For the largest flower, I cut two of each die (six total.) For the smaller flowers, I cut two each of the two smaller dies (four total), all out of Whisper White Cardstock.

Next, I used a Sponge Dauber to add Seaside Spray ink to the centers of each die cut flower and then shaped them with a Bone Folder. I adhered the flower layers with hot glue.

To create the flower centers, I cut out the Magnolia Memory Dies from Terracotta Tile Cardstock (one each of both the small and large dies.) Then, I sponged the tips with Terracotta Tile ink, and used a Bone Folder to shape them. Finally, I used Sponge Daubers to color Perennial Essence Floral Centers with Terracotta Tile ink. I have to admit that this was a messy process, and it took a while for the centers to dry. However, I love the dramatic results!!!

Afterwards, I finished off the box by adding some Perfect Parcel dies for detail and a tag, as well as some Linen Thread.

Have a wonderful and creative day:)
