By | October 23, 2020

Hi Stamping Friends! Did you know that Stampin’ Up! is having a great Designer Series Paper sale? Select papers are discounted 15% during the entire month of October, including the beautiful Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper that I used on these Halloween treats. For more details on the sale, click HERE.

I was on a mission this past weekend. Since Halloween is only a week away, I was bound and determined to use up my entire stash of Magic In This Night DSP on Halloween treats! I had originally purchased the paper to make my desktop calendars for next October, but I still had a bunch leftover, and I didn’t want to waste any of it! It’s just too pretty!!!

I created these boxes with the Perfect Parcel Dies. They are a great size for 3-5 Halloween candies. Each one has a belly band measuring 1-1/2″ x 8″ to make it easy to slip off the decorations.

To construct each box, I needed two die cuts. That means I could cut two boxes from each 12″ x 12″ sheet of DSP, plus I had enough leftover for the belly bands. I used Tear & Tape to adhere my boxes together, so they are good and strong. With all that, I ended up making 14 boxes (because I messed up one.) There was a definite learning curve. However, once I got into a rhythm, I banged them out pretty quick

My decorations are fairly simple, since I was making so many! I used the Banner Year stamp set and coordinating Banner Pick-A-Punch to create small tags. (Purchase in a bundle for 10% off.) The tags are 1″ wide to easily fit in the punch for a nice notched “V” on the ends.

The Banner Year stamp set includes several Halloween themed stamps that worked perfectly. Then, to coordinate the tags with the paper, I used Basic Black and Cajun Craze Stampin’ Write Markers to flick splatters all over the tags.

I created those gorgeous leaves with the Gathered Leaves Dies. Tip: Spritz the cardstock with water before running the leaf die cuts through the die-cutting machine. I also suggest flipping the dies over (with the paper still in the dies) and running them through the die cutting machine again to get those really defined veins.

Final touch is some gorgeous Metallic Mesh Ribbon. Who knew Halloween could be so pretty?
