#TGIFC202 Sketch Challenge

By | March 8, 2019

Time for a new sketch from TGIF Challenges! Wahoo!!! For my project this week, I used the Hello Cupcake stamp set and coordinating Call Me Cupcake Framelits Dies to make a birthday card for my boss. You can earn this stamp set for free with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration (which ends March 31, 2019!) The coordinating dies are available to purchase for a limited-time only during this month!

I love these new die cuts! They make life so much easier!!! And, all the extra elements are so inspiring.

Be sure to click over to the TGIF Challenges Blog and see all the designers’ amazing work this week using this sketch.

The Hello Cupcake stamps have a super fun style. They are great for layering or coloring. For several of the stamps on my card, I inked up the stamp with one color and then used a sponge to add another color ink directly onto the stamp before stamping. This adds a fun variegated look.

I wanted masculine colors, so I inked up the icing with Balmy Blue and then sponged with Blueberry Bushel ink I stamped the cake with Early Espresso, and then I inked up the cupcake liner with Crumb Cake and sponged with Soft Suede ink.

To make the dessert cover look more like glass, I cut it out of Vellum Cardstock.

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings, which fit perfectly on the cute little cupcake stick.

To follow the sketch, I decided to add some Braided Trim above and below the main panel. Then for a more festive look. I looped and adhered it with Mini Glue Dots.

Hope you like my interpretation of the sketch. I’d love to see yours!!! Go to the TGIF Challenges Blog and use the In Link tool at the bottom to add your post for a chance to be a winner.

Supplies used on my card:
