Merry Christmas!!! Best wishes to you and your family. I hope you’re spending the day with at least a few loved ones. While our gatherings may be small this year, let there be love and joy in your heart.
It’s Friday, and that means time for a new TGIF Challenge! This week, our theme is “Let It Snow.” I decided to use the Coming Home Bundle and Christmas Layers Dies to create a snowy winter birthday card.
This card features images colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers, as well as soft ink blended backgrounds on both the focus circle die cut and card base. I used the fabulous new Blending Brushes (available to order January 5th from the new Mini Catalog), but you could achieve similar results with Sponge Daubers.
I stamped the images with Memento Black ink and then colored them with Misty Moonlight, Seaside Spray, Rococo Rose, and Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends Markers. Layering the house images adds dimension and gives it a little more character, don’t you think?
Tip: To adhere the delicate Christmas Layers die cuts in the background, I attached Adhesive Sheets to the back of the Whisper White Cardstock prior to die cutting. Afterwards, I simply peeled off the backing to apply the die-cuts to my project.
Since this is a birthday card, I borrowed a sentiment from the Quite Curvy stamp set. You can purchase this stamp set now in the Quite Curvy Bundle, or wait until January 5th when it’s available to purchase individually. I stamped and embossed the sentiment in white on Misty Moonlight Cardstock and then fussy cut it.
Be sure to check out all the designers’ projects this week! Go to the TGIF Challenges Blog and then create a project that fits our theme. Enter the challenge by linking your project at the bottom of that post.
Have a wonderful and creative day!
