Hope you’re enjoying your weekend!!!  I’m spending mine having fun in my craft room.  Yay!!! I have a really fun technique to share with you today using watercolor paper and a plastic sandwich bag.  Sounds crazy, but it’s super easy and fun; and what’s great is that it turns out different every time you do it.  At the bottom of this post, you’ll find a link to download a complete… Read More »

Watercolor Pencil Technique

I have a fun new technique to share today.  It’s another way to use the new Watercolor Pencils.  This technique allows you to add color and definition to stamped images, but it’s time consuming so it’s not a technique I could easily teach in a class.  Therefore, it’s perfect for my blog. I used the Watercolor Pencils to add colors to the stamped images from the Special Reason stamp set.  Let me… Read More »

Inside the Lines – Watercolor Pencils

I thought and thought about whether to get the new Watercolor Pencils.  It’s true that I absolutely LOVE watercoloring, but I’m a big fan of Aqua Painters, so initially I wasn’t too keen on using Watercolor Pencils to basically achieve the same look.  BUT, I was wrong!!!  I started noticing some really beautiful cards on Pinterest that featured Watercolor Pencils, and I realized that the pencils actually resulted in quite… Read More »

Woodland Sunrise

My youngest sister is having a birthday next week, and I just learned a new technique, so it was a perfect opportunity for me to try it out this morning!!! I needed a textured impression embossing folder (TIEF) for this technique, and my sister lives in Mammoth Lakes in the beautiful mountains.  Therefore, I picked the Woodland TIEF with its beautiful aspen trees. I’m not going to go into too… Read More »

Keep It Simple

Last week, I participated in a card challenge to design a simple birthday card, and then duplicate it twice.  No problem, right? Well, maybe a problem for me.  I rarely make simple cards.  I always feel like I need to add detailed watercoloring, or something to make the card look like I spent time and effort.  But, I also realize that’s not always practical.  In fact, I have a bunch of guy… Read More »
