May Paper Pumpkin

It’s Paper Pumpkin time!  The May kit is called Sprinkled With Love and it includes supplies to make nine cute little “donut” themed cards.  How cute is that? Several of the cards are in the shape of donuts, including frosting embellishments! Here’s a picture of the contents of this month’s kit.  (You get all of this for the monthly subscription price of $20 plus tax, and that incudes shipping.)  The kit… Read More »

Just Breathe

It’s the weekend!!!  Just breathe and relax! Today, I have a preview of lots of fun things coming in the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalog that goes live on June 1, 2017.  That’s just around the corner!  One suite of products that instantly caught my eye was the Colorful Seasons stamp set and coordinating Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies.  There are SO MANY elements to these two sets.  I can literally use… Read More »

New 2017-2019 In-Colors!

The new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog is coming out on June 1, 2017, and with it comes new colors!  Each year, Stampin’ Up! introduces five “In-Colors” to its permanent palette to keep the colors fresh and on trend.  The In-Colors are only available for two years, and they are specifically created to coordinate with each other, as well as the previous year’s In-Colors. Well, I have to say that I’m a… Read More »

Envelope Card

Happy Mother’s Day!!!  Hope all the mothers out there are enjoying a great day with their families and feeling lots of love! For my project today, I tried something different.  I’m not really sure if I love it, but it’s different, so I decided to post it.  I made a card out of an envelope created with the Envelope Punch Board and Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper.  It’s got a… Read More »

Botanical Gift Bag

Today is my monthly Stamp Club meeting!  My friends and I gather together once a month to make four projects and rotate hostesses.  It’s a great way to learn new stamping techniques and try out new products, while having fun visiting and catching up, as well as reaping the rewards of free hostess dollars!!! My project share for today is the door prize I made to give away tonight.  It’s another… Read More »

2018 Desktop Calendars

I’ve been debating with myself whether I should continue posting my desktop calendars this year.  For those of you who don’t know, each year I design twelve 4″ x 6″ desktop calendars for the following year.  I usually make one page a month and accumulate them over the year so I can give them out as Christmas gifts in December.  The only thing is that making these calendars is a perfect opportunity… Read More »

Retiring Picture Perfect

This is both an exciting and sad time of year for me.  I get so excited when the new Annual Catalog is coming out!  The new products help inspire my creativity.  And boy oh boy, this year’s catalog will NOT disappoint you!  It is AMAZIMG!!!  I think it’s my all time favorite, seriously! On the other hand, it’s also time to say good-bye to old favorites.  My card today uses several… Read More »

Fun Tutorials

The last few weekends, I’ve been busy designing projects for my upcoming Stamp Club on May 11th.  As a result, I haven’t had many projects to share on my blog.  So instead, today I’m sharing a couple tutorials created by the Stampin’ By the Sea Team. I belong to a great group of demonstrators, lead by Kimberly Van Diepen, who collaborate once a month to create projects we can share. … Read More »

Painters Tape Masking

Today, I have a fun technique to share with you.  It involves creating a mask with painters tape! I heard about this idea from a fellow demonstrator and thought it was so clever!  I had my daughter buy me the widest painters tape available at Home Depot.  (She hangs out there a lot, because that’s where her boyfriend works!  Ha!!!)  Initially, I thought I would need to select a die cut that… Read More »

Old Retiring Favorites

Stampin’ Up! recently announced the list of retiring products.  Several of them are on sale and are available only while supplies last.  The best way to see an updated list and view the sale prices is to go directly to Stampin’ Up!’s website. One of my all time favorite stamp sets and coordinating framelits is retiring:  Botanical Blooms.  I love the tropical flowers and leaves in this set!!!  As of… Read More »

The kit was designed by Sara Douglas, the Stampin’ Up! CEO and it included a special gift in every box.  And, guess what the gift was? … Watercolor Pencils!!!!  Oh, my gosh, what a treat!  I… Read More »

Happy Celebrations

We had lots to celebrate last week!  Two birthdays and Easter!!!  Not only did my daughter have her birthday, but so did her boyfriend that she’s been dating for almost a year.  He’s a great kid that we’ve really enjoyed getting to know. For his birthday card, I used the new Happy Celebrations stamp set and coordinating Celebrations Duo embossing folder.  I again got my inspiration from a card on… Read More »

A Special Birthday Girl

Last Monday was my daughter’s 19th birthday.  I’m sure you all know how much I adore her.  She’s such a fun-loving, smart, and beautiful soul … I know, I know, I’m proud, I can’t help it!!! Anyway, she really appreciates my cards, so I really enjoy putting in a special effort.  I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest, but this is what I came up with. I… Read More »

Elegant Easter

I’ve made several “cute” Easter cards with bunnies and chocolate, so this time I wanted to create something different … something elegant and pretty.  Also, just to make sure you read until the end of this post, I have a link to the retiring products list from the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog and Occasions Catalog.  Both catalogs will end on May 31, 2017 and the retiring products will only be available… Read More »

Solid Chocolate

What’s better for Easter than solid chocolate bunnies, right?  Ha!  Well, how about a nice Easter card about solid chocolate?  Hmm … not exactly the same, but it’s a cute idea. When I saw this sentiment for the Basket Bunch stamp set, I KNEW I had to use it on at least one card.  I mean, it’s really too perfect for words. Once again, I stamped my images on Shimmery… Read More »

Easter Treats

My daughter will be home for Easter, but my son is staying at college.  So, last weekend I boxed up a bunch of treats to mail off to him and his girlfriend.  He LOVES chocolate, so I know he’ll appreciate it. 🙂 It’s hard to mail an Easter basket, so I opted for an Easter bag.  And, even though Sale-A-Bration is over, I couldn’t resist using those cute chick stamps.… Read More »

Egg-stra Special!

It’s been an exciting week!  First, I had my Stamp Club on Thursday night (which I always love.)  I have so much fun getting together with these nice ladies once a month to create.  Then, I went home to realize my computer monitor bit the dust.  It’s frustrating to realize how much I rely on my computer!  No way to upload and edit pictures, which means no blog updates.  Yikes!… Read More »

Glitz Up Your Gifts

This is the last day of Sale-A-Bration!  I wanted to remind you, just in case there was anything you still wanted to earn for free.  (Some items have run out, so check availability.) Today, I have a couple fun gift wrapping ideas to share.  The first features the Avant Garden Sale-A-Bration stamp set.  It’s a gift I made for my Stamp Club yesterday as a door prize.  (And what’s inside is… Read More »

Happy Celebrations

I have a great stamp set to share with you today.  It’s perfect for masculine cards, something I struggle with.  But not any longer, because now I’m flooded with great ideas!!! This stamp set coordinates with the Celebrations Duo Textured Impression Embossing Folders: one that says “HAPPY” and another that says “Celebrate.”  You can see a subtle impression of the HAPPY in the background of my card below. I stamped the… Read More »

March Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

Hopefully, you read my earlier post today showing the March Paper Pumpkin kit.  Now, I have two alternative ideas for projects you can make with the kit and a few extra supplies. I love to watercolor, and Basic Gray Archival ink (which is what we got in the kit this month) is made for watercoloring!  It doesn’t smear or blur when wet.  On my cards, I stamped the images on Shimmery… Read More »
