#TGIFC346 – Sketch Challenge

By | December 10, 2021

Welcome to a new TGIF Challenges! This week, we have a sketch challenge, which is always fun, because a lot of the design work is already finished! Just pick a stamp set and color combination and you’re on your way!!!

I’m wrapping up my Christmas cards this week. It’s almost time to move on to new stuff from the upcoming mini catalog!!!! I’m so excited! In the meantime, I have a few “nephew” cards to make. I have three grown nephews that I typically send money. So, I like to make a special card to go with the check.

This card is for my youngest nephew. I used the Snowman Season stamp set to remind him of fun family trips to Mammoth Mountain over the holidays.

I stamped the snowman with Memento ink on Basic White Cardstock and colored him with Stampin’ Blends Markers including Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Cherry Cobbler, Balmy Blue, Pumpkin Pie, and Smoky Slate. I love this image! He looks so happy!!!

Next, I cut out the image with a Seasonal Labels Die and placed it over a layer I embossed with the Knit Together background stamp. Prior to embossing the background in white, I used Water Painters to randomly paint the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper with both Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent ink.

On bottom layer, I used the coordinating Knit Sweater Dies to add subtle snowflake die-cuts to the Evening Evergreen Cardstock.

Be sure to click over to the TGIF Challenges Blog and check out all the designers’ projects this week. Then, use our sketch to create you own project and join the fun. You can upload a photo of your project using the Linky Tool at the bottom of that post to enter the challenge.

Have a wonderful and creative day!
