Color Fusers Blog Hop — June 2026

Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for June 2026. This month is super exciting, because we are featuring the five 2026-2028 In Colors! Every year, Stampin’ Up! introduces five new colors that are only available for two years to coordinate with its standard color palette. This gives the overall color palette a fresh, trendy look. Occasionally, certain In Colors are re-introduced with a new set of In Colors or integrated into the standard color palette. In fact, in 2026, we saw the comeback of Crisp Cantaloupe!

I decided to use the Bloom Boutique Suite Collection for my cards. This is a mega suite with two coordinating bundles — the Boutique Blossoms Bundle and Scalloped Blooms Bundle. The suite also includes the Bloom Boutique Specialty Designer Series Paper and Heirloom Boutique Two-Tone Cardstock Pack that both feature all the new In Colors.

I LOVE all the new In Colors, but I have to admit that my two favorites are Hydrangea Hue and Barely Blush so I designed cards featuring both. The only color I didn’t use on my cards was Peaceful Pine, and honestly it’s a runner up to one of my favorites. It just didn’t work into the design I envisioned for these cards. So next time…

I also used the Eyelet Blooms Die – one of the Products of the Month. You can purchase this background die for only $5 USD when you make a qualifying purchase of $75 USD or more (while supplies last.) After die-cutting the largest scallop from Two-Tone Cardstock (Hydrangea Hue and Barely Blush,) I used the Eyelet Blooms Die to add the detail.

For the flowers on the first card, I cut them all out from Basic White Cardstock using the Boutique Blossoms Dies and then colored them first with Stampin’ Blends Markers . I used Hydrangea Hue, a little Cloud Cover, and Barely Blush on the first card and Barely Blush, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Golden Glow on the second card.

Afterwards, I played with my new Shimmer Brushes!!! They’re SO FUN! They are very similar to Wink Of Stella, but the shimmer is colored. You may ask why I colored the flowers with blends first? I felt like I had more control with blends to shade and highlight and even take away color with a Color Lifter. (Notice the dew drops I added by applying a Color Lifter nib end after I had colored to remove small dots.) Therefore, I used the Shimmer Brushes to add more color to the darker areas, especially the Barely Blush flowers, as well as to add shimmer and shine. They are SO COOL in real life!

I enhanced the first card with 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies. There was already a lot of color on the card, so I picked the white ones.

My second card is similar, but with more layers, and it features both the Boutique Blooms and Scalloped Blooms Bundles. This time, I stamped and heat embossed some of the flowers in white on Basic White Cardstock and then watercolored them with Barely Blush and Crisp Cantaloupe ink. Afterwards, I highlighted certain areas with the Shimmer Brushes again. There are also a few die-cut flowers colored using the same method as the first card. For the smallest flowers, I only used a Golden Glow Shimmer Brush to color them.

The Bloom Boutique Specialty Designer Series Paper includes foil accents in gold and silver, so I added a small strip of silver and gold foil to each card.

To embellish the second card, I added a double bow tied with vanilla baker’s twine and 2026-2028 In Color Dots.

The sentiments are all from the Scalloped Blooms Bundle stamped with Hydrangea Hue (first card) and Crisp Cantaloupe ink (second card.)
