#TGIFC578 – Inspiration Challenge with Heirloom Boutique Bundle

Happy Friday and welcome to a new TGIF Challenge. This week, we have the inspiration photo below as our theme. I decided to focus on the colors and general layout with the four watercolored sections for my card featuring the Heirloom Boutique Bundle. This is a beautiful new bundle with pretty florals and great sentiments for weddings, anniversaries, and scrapbook pages.

I started out by trying to copy the watercolor wash in the background of the inspiration photo. I used Soft Sea Foam, Garden Green, Barely Blush, and Strawberry Slush ink to paint on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and a lot of water so the colors were soft. That paper is made for watercoloring and so easy to blend. After the paper dried, I added splatter with Strawberry Slush and Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Next, I stamped and embossed the florals in gold on watercolor paper and watercolored them with the same colors as well as Lemon Lolly. I also pre-painted three sheets of watercolor paper with 1) Strawberry Slush and Barely Blush ink 2) Lemon Lolly ink, and 3) Soft Sea Foam and Garden Green ink to use for die-cutting the flowers and leaves in the background.

The sentiment on the card front is from the Heirloom Boutique Stamp Set. I also needed a Happy Anniversary sentiment for the inside, so I used one from the Phrases & Frames Bundle cut out with one of the coordinating dies.
