#TGIFC582 – Inspiration Challenge with Beautiful Ordinary Life Suite

By | June 19, 2026

Welcome to a new TGIF Challenge! This week, our theme is the inspiration photo below. The first thing I noticed was the gorgeous sunset. I LOVE sunsets!!! They’re so peaceful and colorful; I just want to sit and stare at the beauty.

The inspiration photo made me think of the Beautiful Ordinary Life Suite. The Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper (DSP) has similar colors and one print in particular that reminds me of soft sunsets. It’s also a suite I haven’t used much yet, so I saw this as the perfect opportunity!

To start, I die-cut the central colorful layer from the Beautiful Ordinary Life DSP using the Extraordinary Life Dies. All the prints in this DSP pack are colored on one side and black and white on the other, so I also used one of the black and white prints for a subtle background. That way the eye focuses on the main colorful print.

Next, I used a couple of the laser cuts from the Floral Flight Accents for the flowers. However, rather than using them as see-through elements as intended, I decided that I wanted to color them. So I used the laser cuts as a guide to paint Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper with Lemon Lolly, Daffodil Delight, Timid Tiger, and Real Red ink. After the paper dried, I adhered the laser cut flowers over the watercolor paper and then carefully cut just under the edges of the laser cuts.

I also watercolored a couple different sheets with Pool Party and Lost Lagoon ink to use for die-cutting the leaves with the Boutique Blossoms Dies

The sentiment is from the Banner Sayings Stamp Set and punched out with the coordinating Three Banner Punch. Then, I layered that banner over an Extraordinary Life die-cut banner from Basic Black Cardstock.

To finish my card, I added some Array of Dots and a white baker’s twine double bow.

I hope this card inspires you to check out the Beautiful Ordinary Life Suite. I love the designer series paper and all the coordinating products!
