#TGIFC402 — Color Challenge

By | January 6, 2023

Welcome to a new TGIF Challenge. This week, we have a very interesting color combination, not exactly one I would have picked myself. But, I ended up loving my card. After looking through my stash, I realized that all the colors were included in the Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper! Perfect!!! This paper was part of an early-release from Stampin’ Up! that coordinates with the new Framed Florets Bundle from the JA Mini Catalog. As of the date I wrote this, the designer series paper was still available to purchase.

I deliberately chose flower clusters from the Fitting Florets DSP that included Polished Pink and Balmy Blue flowers, and then I simply fussy cut the printed flowers. The print is so pretty, that I didn’t need to do anything else. Sometimes, simple projects are the best!

I used another Balmy Blue print of the DSP in the background. After die-cutting the hearts and frame with the Framed Florets Dies, I layered it over a sheet of Basic White Cardstock that I had blended with Balmy Blue ink. The frames are cut from Thick Basic White Cardstock, and I stacked four of them on top of each other for dimension.

Next, I used the Framed Florets Dies to cut the leaves from Early Espresso Cardstock and then added some Polished Pink Loose Flower Flourishes.

The final step was to add some of the new Balmy Blue 1/2″ Variegated Ribbon (#160448) from new JA Mini Catalog. That ribbon is my absolute favorite!

On the inside of the card, I used another sheet of the DSP and one of the leftover ovals from die-cutting the frames. It was perfect for a birthday sentiment.
