OnStage Las Vegas!

By | November 19, 2019

Hello Friends!!! I just got back from an amazing weekend in Las Vegas attending Stampin’ Up!’s Onstage Local event, as well as a VIP Pre-Party hosted by the TGIF Challenges Design Team. It was SO much fun, and I have lots of photos to share from both events.

It all started with our TGIF pre-party. We had displays from each of the team members, food, prizes, and of course make ‘n takes!!! Here’s just a portion of the display boards!!! Mercedes, one of our fearless leaders, brought all sorts of cute props for us to showcase our creations. I can’t tell you how truly honored I feel to be included in this amazing group of ultra-creative designers.

Here’s a closer look at my section.

Five of the designers (including me!) designed make n’ takes for all the participants to put together during the event. I got the opportunity to showcase the fabulous Feels Like Frost suite!

My packets included one of three different color combinations.

My favorite part of this card is the embossed textures. I used the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder in the background and the Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder for the Noble Peacock Foil.

Tip: I used a little trick to emboss the foil on this card, so it wouldn’t crack and show the white core. Instead of the typical die cutting sandwich, I created a custom one as follows: Base Plate, Embossing Shim, 5 sheets of regular copy paper, Swirls and Curls Embossing folder with the Foil inside, and finally one Cutting Plate. This allowed for very soft pressure from the machine.

I used a Wink of Stella Glitter Pen to go over the edges of the large detailed die cut from Frosted Frames Dies. This added a beautiful and festive glimmer to the dark cardstock.

Here are the other make ‘n takes. This next one was designed by Elizabeth Price:

And here’s Andrea Tucker’s:

Stesha Bloodhart showcased Good Morning Magnolia:

And finally, Ashley Van Camp designed a little acrylic box to carry all the make n’ takes home:

We had close to 90 guests. Here’s two of my favs from the Stampin’ By the Sea Team, Cathy Casey and Debbie Keane!!! We sent this pic back to our upline Kimberly Van Diepen.

Jeanna (the other amazing TGIF leader) made her incredible cupcakes and was in charge of the venue and all the sweet treats!

Here’s just a few of the “swag bags” and prizes we handed out at the event. The beautiful tags were all created by another TGIF bestie, Tammy Wilson, who was also named to the new 2020 Artisan Team!!!

I have to admit that I was nervous about participating in such a big event. I had never done anything like this before. But, we finished ahead of schedule and everyone I talked to said they loved it! That made it SOOO worthwhile.

All the participants brought table swaps, and then the team picked our favorites for some special prizes.

Next day, my mom, sister and I went to Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage!!! It was so exciting to visit with friends and see the new mini catalogs and products. We got to see presentations, get creative ideas, and learn cool tips. I have so much to share with you!!!

Here we are wearing our matching T-Shirts designed by Melissa Stout (Short and Stout Designs!) What a trio!!!

I can only share the cover of the new Mini Catalog coming out January 3rd, but trust me, you are going to LOVE all the amazing, fun, beautiful stamps, dies, and embellishments, … They are GORGEOUS!!! I got to bring home some and pre-ordered more, so watch my blog for examples!

We also got to see the new Saleabration products!!! Just like last year, you can earn these awesome products for free when you place qualifying orders of $50 or $100 from January to March. Many of them coordinate with items from the new Mini Catalog. More to come on that exciting sale.

Wow, how much fun can a gal have? My family spent one more day in Las Vegas to enjoy the sights. Here we are at the Bellagio looking at the gorgeous Fall garden display.

All of course Christmas decorations were starting to show up everywhere.

Then, we completed the day by seeing “O” (Cirque Du Soliel) at the Bellagio. You know me, I love water and swimming, so this show’s one of my all-time favorites. AMAZING!!!!

Keep watching my blog for information later this week on the upcoming Online Extravaganza starting November 20th, and then hopefully, next week for a preview of some of the new products I came home with, after I get a chance to play with them. Wahoo!!!

Have a great day!
