Control Freaks — Winter Wonderland

By | November 19, 2019

Hello and welcome to Swimming In Stamps. I’m Tami Hewlett, an independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator from California, and I’m so excited to be a new member of the Control Freaks Blog Hop! This is a long-standing blog hop that includes some really talented designers, so I felt very honored when they asked me to join the team. This month, the theme of the blog hop is Winter Wonderland.

You may have just arrived from the amazing Bree Renwick of Craft Somnia Momma, if you’re already following the blog hop. Nonetheless, be sure to continue on by clicking the button at the bottom of this post for lots more inspiration.

I’m sharing a cute gift bag I created for a door prize for my Stamp Club. It features several products from the adorable Let It Snow Suite, starting on page 18 of the Holiday Catalog. What’s more “Winter Wonderland” than snowmen (and snow-women), right?

The Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper has glittery winter images, so I simply cut them out to showcase on my project. I’m in LOVE with these adorable characters!!!

Aside from the snowmen, I think my favorite part of this project is the shimmery embossed background and Puff Paint “snow.” I used a Basic Pattern Decorative Mask (Holiday p. 35) and some Shimmery White Embossing Paste (Annual p. 181) to create the background and Snowfall Accents Puff Paint (Holiday p. 19) heated with a Heat Tool to create the snow.

“Winter Wonderland” makes me think of sparkling snow, so I also covered the Coastal Cabana snowflake with some Shimmery Crystal Effects.

I added several Copper Foil accents to my project, to enhance the design of the Copper Dotted Treat Bag, including some Frosted Frames die cuts.

I think the lucky winner of my door prize is going to love this bag (and the surprise I’ll be putting inside.)

Be sure to continue on through the Blog Hop by clicking on the graphic below. Next up is our fabulous leader, Wendy Weixler of Wickedly Wonderful Creations.

Have a wonderful and creative day!
