Did you get a chance to join World Card Making Day last Saturday for a free crafting event? It was so much fun and included some great stamping techniques and card designs. I thought it would be fun to share the cards I created during the 3 hour event.

The event featured three bundles including the Cottage Rose Bundle, Cottage Wreaths Bundle, and new Warm Welcome Bundle (which is available to purchase now and will be included in the upcoming January-June Mini Catalog!) I only had two of the bundles, so I substituted the Cup of Tea Bundle for the Warm Welcome Bundle.
My first card features the Cottage Rose Bundle and it was presented by Sara & Shelli. I always LOVE watching them stamp together. It reminds me of stamping with my own mom and all the fun times we’ve shared! We colored this card with Stampin’ Blends Markers (one of my favorite coloring tools!) It’s such an elegant card!!!
The next card features the Cup of Tea Bundle. Even though I didn’t have the featured bundle, it was fairly easily to translate the techniques to products I had on hand. Regardless, it’s worth watching the video because Melody Hyde presented this portion. She leads Concept Art at Stampin’ Up! and I always find her work fascinating!
The last card features the Cottage Wreaths Bundle. This portion was taught by Shannon West and she did a great job showing the watercoloring techniques. I ended up enhancing the card a little bit by adding a dry embossed background with the Gingham Embossing Folder, and using a second color for the watercoloring. Instead of just using Old Olive ink, I also used Mint Macaron. It gives the wreath a little more depth.
