Update on Retiring Lists/New Color Collections

By | April 11, 2018

Yesterday, I posted the retiring lists for the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog and Occasions catalog.  (You can access those lists on the Catalogs Tab of my blog.)  Since then, I’ve received some questions, so I thought I’d clarify.

  1.  There are numerous bundles listed on the retiring lists.  Look carefully, because frequently it’s only the bundle that’s retiring not the stamp set or the coordinating die cuts.  When new stamp sets and coordinating dies are first introduced, Stampin’ Up! offers discounted bundles for 10% off during the first year.  Afterwards, the continuing products are available to purchase on an individual basis only.
  2. You may notice that the retiring list includes a lot of ink pads, and may have wondered what’s up?  Every once in a while, Stampin’ Up! needs to update its core color collections to keep up with color trends.  This doesn’t happen very often.  If fact, it’s been years.  So in 2018, Stampin’ Up! decided to give its color collections a makeover.  There are still four color collections, each with ten colors.  There is also a new color group called Basics.  In order to keep the color collections to exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors, it moved Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Whisper White out of the Neutrals collection.  Stampin’ Up! also moved a few colors into the Neutrals collection, making it more exciting and colorful! Some additional colors have changed collections as well—you’ll notice this as you look through the new collections below.  Finally, you may recognize some popular returning In Colors from the past.

In addition to new colors, Stampin’ Up! also redesigned the ink pads.  The case is a new, more intuitive design.  Stampin’ Up! also improved the formula of the ink!  The new cases have a tighter seal and the cases are stackable.  I’m excited to check them out!  The new colors and stamp pads will be available to purchase on June 1, 2018 in the new Annual Catalog.

Can’t Wait?

Demonstrators who attended OnStage received a copy of the new catalog, and all other demonstrators can view a PDF version online.  Pre-order for demonstrators starts on May 2.  Contact me to learn more about becoming a demonstrator and receiving these perks.

Let me know if you have additional questions about the retiring lists and/or new catalog.
