#TGIFC576 — Sketch Challenge with Untouched Landscape

By | May 8, 2026

Hello Friends! For this week’s TGIF Challenge, we have the sketch below. I decided to use the new Untouched Landscape Stamp Set from the May-August 2026 Catalog to create a birthday card for my future son-in-law. He loves the mountains, and last summer, we met his family during a vacation in Crested Butte, Colorado. In fact, I used a coaster that I bought as a souvenir as inspiration for the layout and colors on this card!

The Untouched Landscape Stamp Set includes several builder pieces to create different scenes. For this card, I selected the mountains, trees, and flowers. I played around with a few coloring techniques and ended up using one where I stamped with a darker shade of ink and then colored with lighter shades of Stampin’ Blends Markers. I don’t think this stamp set necessarily needs to be colored, I simply chose to because I wanted to bring in all the glorious colors that we saw on our trip. We were in Crested Butte during the wildflower festival and the mountains were COVERED in gorgeous shades of green along with brilliant flowers. It was sooooo pretty!

I stamped the mountains with Hydrangea Hue and Balmy Blue ink and then colored them with Balmy Blue and Cloud Cover Stampin’ Blends Markers. For the trees, I stamped them with Mossy Meadow and Golden Glow ink and then colored with Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, and Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends Markers. For the foreground flowers, I stamped with Shaded Spruce ink and then colored with Peaceful Pine, Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, Lost Lagoon, and Cloud Cover Stampin’ Blends Markers. I also used a Color Lifter to add highlights.

I LOVE the new Dreamy Flowers Embellishments!!! I added both Berry Burst and White ones to my card.

I created the chevrons with the new Bordered In Beauty Dies. Those dies are super COOL! You might overlook them in the catalog, but they are great accent pieces and super useful. I cut the ones on this card from Granny Apple Green Two-Tone Cardstock.

Since I was making a birthday card, I added a sentiment on the outside using the Banner Sayings Stamp Set and punched it out with the coordinating Three Banner Punch. Then, on the inside of the card, I used the Sending Salutations Stamp Set. That set is another great staple with lots of great sentiments.
