#TGIFC450 – Sketch Challenge

By | December 8, 2023

Hello and welcome to a new TGIF Challenge! This week, we are using the sketch below. I think it’s perfect for showing off beautiful patterned paper, and what’s more beautiful than the Shinning Brightly Specialty Designer Series Paper? I mean, it’s absolutely gorgeous with all the gold foil accents against navy and vanilla backgrounds!!!

I decided to pull out a carry over bundle from last Christmas … the Cottage Wreath Stamps and coordinating Country Wreaths Dies. I haven’t used them for a holiday card yet this year, and they’re a favorite of mine.

I started with a sheet of the Shining Brightly SDSP, and lightly marked the outside edges of the wreath die-cut with a pencil. Then, I stamped the pine leaves with Pecan Pie ink. Then, I cut the thicker wreath from Brushed Metallic Paper (gold) and the more detailed wreath from Gold Glimmer Paper. I also cut numerous small leaf die-cuts from Brushed Metallic Paper (bronze) to glue along the top.

I searched through all my stash of glimmer and metallic papers. Some are retired, but you could easily substitute other papers. I cut the bow from Night of Navy Soft Shimmer Paper and love how it coordinated with the background.

The final touch was to add some Blooming Pearls (love the gold highlights) and a gold embossed sentiment over some gorgeous Night of Navy & Gold Glittered Ribbon.

On the inside, I used a little strip of the beautiful Shining Brightly SDSP and some of the leftover leaf die-cuts. The sentiment is from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set stamped with Pecan Pie ink.
