Welcome to the December Stamping Sunday Blog Hop. This month, our theme is the “Hostess With The Mostest.” I decided to make some hostess gifts, so I’d have a bunch on hand and could grab one or more when the occasion arose.

I used Stars Treat Bags for all my gifts. They come in a package of 10, and I had 9 left to decorate!

To hide the contents (which are filled with Ghiradelli chocolates) I slipped a trimmed sheet of Glimmer 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper in gold and Evening Evergreen into each bag and secured it with liquid glue. It looks so pretty in real life, the Glimmer Paper really makes the stars sparkle. I also punched holes in each bag so I could form handles with some Silver Threaded Twine and then tied them together with some Gold 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon. That ribbon makes any Christmas project look amazing!

To create the tags, I used Tailor Made Tags Dies to cut the tag from designer series paper (Lights Aglow or Boughs of Holly). Then, I used the Decorated Pines Dies to cut the pines from both Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and either Evening Evergreen or Shaded Spruce Cardstock. Then, I watercolored the pines with Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent ink (above) or Evening Evergreen, Old Olive, and Shaded Spruce ink (below.)

I also used the Decorated Pines Dies to cut the ornaments from White Glimmer Paper. Then, for the bag below, I fussy cut the poinsettia from Boughs of Holly DSP.

Since I was making so many, I kept the bags fairly simple. The final touch was some Real Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels. I’m all ready to spread some Christmas cheer!
