For this month’s Stampin’ Fancy Friday, our theme is gratitude. Honestly, what’s better than showing gratitude? It’s what cardmaking is all about … a way to make friends and family feel appreciated and loved. This theme is wide open for imagination.

For my card, I focused on using the new Online Exclusive: Delightful Floral 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (DSP.) It’s absolutely beautiful and coordinates with the Translucent Floral Bundle (which I already had in my stash.) But for this card, I only used the stamps for the sentiment and a few twigs in the backgroud, because all the other images were fussy cut from the DSP! In fact, I cut several of the flowers multiple times to layer and show dimension.
In the background I used the Patchwork Pieces Dies to cut shapes from a sheet of the DSP and Lost Lagoon Cardstock. Then, I dry embossed the cardstock with one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders, another Online Exclusive. I used another sheet of the DSP in the far background to layer over my Pool Party card base. The Delightful Floral DSP is packed with great florals and subtle watercolor images!
Behind the flowers, I used Textural Florals die-cuts from More Dazzle Specialty Paper and Basic White Cardstock to complete my focal point. I truly love layering, and these are some of my favorite dies. Then, I borrowed a great label die from the Gorgeously Made Dies for the sentiment.
The final touch was some frayed gold Simply Elegant Trim and Blooming Pearls! Now I’ve got the perfect thank you card for someone special.
