Last Days of Sale-A-Bration!

By | March 29, 2018

There are only a few days left of Sale-A-Bration!  (It ends Saturday, March 31, 2018.)  This is a great opportunity to stock up on basics like cardstock, envelops, re-inkers, and adhesives, because you can earn a free gift for every $50 (level 1) or $100 (level 2) you spend.  Click on the Catalog Tab for links to download all three Sale-A-Bration brochures.

Today, I have another project using the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper (level 1 Sale-A-Bration product.)  This is a gift I made for my Stamp Club last Monday.  Each month, I create a door prize to randomly give away during class.  This gift includes a whole pack of Springtime Foils SDSP!!!

Since the gift included the paper, I wanted to show what you can do with it.  It’s SO FUN to color!  You can color it with sponges, Stampin’ Blends, and even watercoloring, which is what I did on my project today.

Here’s a look at the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper straight from the pack:

I used my Aqua Painters to add Bermuda Bay ink to the silver foil striped pattern paper.  I also used Fresh Fig, Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, and Tranquil Tide ink to watercolor a few of the gold foil flowers.  Then I cut them out by hand and added them to the tag.

This paper has a glossy feel to it.  Coloring with Aqua Painters or Stampin’ Blends comes out different than using any other type of paper, but I LOVE it.  It has a super pretty, artsy look.

I created three tags to layer:  1) One cut out of the dotted Springtime Foils SDSP, 2) one cut from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, and 3) another cut from Bermuda Bay cardstock.  I trimmed all the tags to 2″ across and then used the Scallop Tag Topper punch to create tags.

The Bermuda Bay Shimmer Ribbon around my gift is another free level 1 Sale-A-Bration product!

Finally, I added a sentiment from the Cake Soiree stamp set, embossed in white on Basic Black cardstock, and a some Tutti-Fuitti sequins.
