Color Fusers — May 2022

Hello and welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for May 2022. This month, our color combination includes Pacific Point, Balmy Blue, and Crumb Cake, which seemed very nautical to me. So, I decided to pull out the Let’s Set Sail Bundle, which includes the Let’s Set Sail Photopolymer Stamps and coordinating Sailboat Builder Punch.

The Let’s Set Sail Bundle makes it so easy to stamp the boat and then punch out the individual pieces. After stamping, feed your image through the punch, looking at the backside of the punch to line it up perfectly, and then press. I stamped the images on Basic White Cardstock with the three challenge colors.

My card includes a sheet of Waves of the Ocean 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (DSP). I LOVE that paper so much, and today is the last day to buy it!!! This DSP was part of a limited-release of coordinating products to go with the Waves of Inspiration Bundle that’s in the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. I simply tore the top edge of the paper to look like rough seas.

I watercolored the sky with Balmy Blue ink, and then cut out the clouds using both the Border Basics and Give It A Whirl Dies from Basic White Cardstock. Next, for a little texture, I unraveled some White Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon and adhered it to my card with some Tear & Tape Adhesive. To unravel the ribbon, cut a narrow strip off the top and then pull out some threads.

The sentiment is from the Waves of Inspiration Stamps and then I cut it out with the label from the coordinating Waves Dies (love that label!!!) Finally, I added some Linen Thread and a few white Classic Matte Dots.

I think this would be a great card for one of my masculine co-workers. I never seem to have enough masculine cards!
