7 Days of Scrapbooking – Day Six.
My project today is a scrapbook page of my daughter, Shannon. This photo was taken at the end of the ski season this year for her Instagram page and I just love it! It’s sooo Shannon; she’s sassy and fun-loving and full of life.
This was the first year she bought a season pass and spent a lot of time on the slopes. She had the time of her life with friends and family. (It’s nice having a job where she can work remotely and a grandma who lives close to the ski hill!)
As I was looking for colors and papers to embellish this page, I realized that the new In Colors were perfect. I mean look at her skis, they are Tahitian Tide and her one piece ski suit is Sweet Sorbet!!! It figures, always the fashionista, she would be dressed in the latest colors. Even the sky blends with both Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky. The only In Color I didn’t use was Parakeet Party.
I chose a variety of stamps, dies, and papers to create this custom page — some current and some retired. The title is a combination of “one” from the Blessings of Home stamp set, “amazing” from the Amazing Thanks Dies, and “season” from the Christmas to Remember stamp set.
In the background, I used Heart & Home Designer Series Paper as well as a bunch of 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper for the So Many Snowflake Dies (retired.) I knew I was going to find a good use for those pretty dies!
To create the “amazing,” I cut the bottom layer from In Color Glimmer Paper and the top layer from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock. Then, I also used some 2022-2024 In Color Designer Series Paper to mat the photo and the final touch was some 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots.
I didn’t go too crazy with the decorations on this page, because I really wanted to draw attention to that darling photo.
