Color Fusers Blog Hop – May 2026

Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for May 2026. This month, our color combination includes Strawberry Slush, Bubble Bath, Granny Apple Green, and Basic Black. This is a stunning combo that’s perfect for florals, so I decided to use the new Fern & Flora Bundle from the May-August 2026 Catalog (going live tomorrow!) to create this thank you card.

I started by stamping the floral and butterfly images with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and coloring them with Stampin’ Blends Markers in the four colors. For little images like this, I prefer to start with the light colors, add progressively darker colors, and then go back and add a little blending with the lightest color. Tip: Use the markers sparingly as the ink spreads and will extend out of the lines if you add too much ink.

I also used Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends Markers to color the Strawberry Slush fern in the background.

For ferns, I die-cut them from different sides of Granny Apple Green Two-Tone Cardstock and then added the same color ink with Small Blending Brushes to shade.

I also used Blending Brushes in the background to add Bubble Bath ink to the top portion of the card and Strawberry Slush ink to the bottom portion of the card. Afterwards, I dry embossed the layer with the Fern & Flora 3D Embossing Folder and added a little bit of splatter with a dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blend Marker.

All the white paper on this card is White Willow. You may ask why? I COMPLETELY ran out of Basic White!!! (I was using A LOT for all those Rolling Waves cards and swaps.) The horror, haha! I thought I had a whole pack stashed away and boy, was I wrong. I typically prefer using Basic White just because it’s what I’ve always done. I can’t say I noticed much difference at all other than White Willow is a slightly brighter white.

On the inside, I used some leftover die-cuts and left it blank for a handwritten message. The bottom fern is stamped with Strawberry Slush ink on the light side of Bubble Bath Two-Tone Cardstock (quicker than coloring all those tiny leaves, haha.)
