Color Fusers Blog Hop — May 2024

Welcome to the May Color Fusers Blog Hop! This month, our color combination includes Pebbled Path, Bubble Bath, and Moody Mauve. All these colors are on the cool side of the color wheel, which I confess is the opposite of the warm colors I typically gravitate towards. But that’s the beauty of challenges! They push me to try new things, and you know … I totally LOVE the end result!

I decided to use the Simply Zinnia Bundle for my card. I’ve got an online class coming up on May 24th featuring this bundle, and I just love it! Both the dies and stamps are so versatile! If fact, without giving too much away, I used a couple techniques on this card that I’ll be teaching during the class, including the background and coloring the flower die-cuts with Stampin’ Blends markers. Today is the last day to sign up for the full class (Option 1), but Option 2 remains open indefinitely! Check out my blog post for all the details.

For the sentiment, I used the very cool Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder. This product includes both an embossing folder and a set of dies, one of which fits into the embossing folder to both cut and emboss at the same time. I cut and embossed the sentiment from Basic White Cardstock and then colored the raised portions with both Bubble Bath and Moody Mauve Stampin’ Blends Markers.

The flower die-cuts are also colored with both Bubble Bath and Moody Mauve Stampin Blending Markers. There’s literally no stamping involved at all with this card.

Along the left side, I added a strip of Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper colored Pebbled Path, with a layer of Silver & White Sheer Ribbon over it. I love silver with cool tones, so I continued with that theme and added some silver Faceted Gems as well.
