Color Fusers Blog Hop — January 2023

Happy New Year!!! Welcome to the first Color Fusers Blog Hop of 2023. Our color combination this month includes Fresh Freesia, Rich Razzleberry, and Granny Apple Green. I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try out the new Beautifully Happy Photopoymer Stamp Set, which is a Sale-A-Bration stamp set that you can earn for FREE with a qualifying purchase of $100 or more starting January 5, 2023.

This stamp set is super fun, because it includes both outline and fill images for the flowers and leaves, as well as great sentiments.

I decided to stamp and emboss the main outline image in white on Shimmery White Cardstock and then use Water Painters to watercolor the images. Watercoloring within embossed images is super easy, because the embossing acts as a dam to contain the water. This makes blending a snap as well.

I embossed and watercolored a few extra flowers and leaves to cut out and layer and really make the images pop. Then, I also used a Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Write Marker to flick splatter over the completed layer.

In the background, I used the Artisan Additions Dies to cut a layer from Fresh Freesia Cardstock, and then I used a Blending Brush to add both Fresh Freesia and Rich Razzleberry ink to create an ombre design.

The final touch was some Fresh Freesia Woven Ribbon and Opal Rounds.
