Hello, and welcome to the Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! I’m Tami Hewlett, and I’m so glad you could join us today!!! On the first Monday of each month, a group of my fellow demonstrators and I design projects for this blog hop using a different color combination each time. This month’s colors include Mango Melody, Pineapple Punch, Melon Mambo, and Very Vanilla. That sounds like a recipe for a smoothie, doesn’t it? Yummy!

The bright, cheery colors for this month make me think of Summer!!! I’m so ready! I keep looking at my pool, dreaming of warmer weather and starting my lap routine. It’s about this time of year when I start getting real antsy to dive in and start swimming again. My pool is literally CALLING TO ME! Although, I looked at the temperature the other day, and it’s barely 60 degrees, so I think I’ll wait a little longer:)
I decided to break out a new stamp set that’s perfect for this color combo called Beach Happy.
To create this card, I stamped all the images with Stazon ink on Watercolor Paper. Because Watercolor Paper has a texture, I used my Stamparatus so I could stamp the images multiple times in the same place and assure even coverage. The Stamparatus also helped me perfectly align the two-step stamps for the chair and beach bag.
Next, I watercolored all the images with an Aqua Painter and ink pooled in the lids of my ink pads. I even gave the stamped beach bag a quick wash to slightly blend the colors. Then, I added a wash of Pineapple Punch ink to the background for the appearance of a bright, sunny day.
Whenever I do a color challenge, I start by searching my supplies on-hand for papers and embellishments in coordinating colors. I found some really cute In-Color 2018-2020 Designer Series Paper with Pineapple Punch stripes and coordinating Iridescent Sequins!!! Wahoo!
