Color & Contour Customer Appreciation Cards

By | June 4, 2021

Happy Friday everyone! Tonight is my Color & Contour Bundle Online Class!!! It’s so fun to teach these Zoom classes and connect with crafters across the country, including my mom and sister. One big benefit of the pandemic was that it forced me into trying online classes. I had procrastinated for so long, and it ended up being a real blessing to my business.

Sign-ups for tonight’s class are closed, but you can still purchase the written tutorials for $10, including a link to the Zoom class recording. (You will need to cut up your own supplies for the class projects.) If you’re interested, leave a comment below and I’ll email you a Pay Pal invoice.

Today, I’m sharing some “thank you” note cards that I made for several of my class customers using the Color & Contour Bundle. I had an older pack of Note Cards & Envelopes stashed away that included both white and craft. The craft ones are now retired, but you can still purchase the white ones. They are perfect for making quick and easy cards.

I started by cutting a square layer of Basic White Cardstock and using Blending Brushes to add both Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen ink to create an ombre’ design. Then, I added White Embossing Paste over it using the Plenty of Patterns Decorative Masks.

Tips for using Embossing Paste: 1) Work over a Silicone Craft Sheet to protect surfaces. The paste dries quickly so take a small amount out of the container and keep the lid on tight. I also place the container inside a zip lock for storage to really keep the air out. 2) Use a palette knife to spread a thin layer of the embossing paste over the mask. 3) Clean up your mask, craft sheet, and palette knife quickly in water before the paste dries 4) I could only make about 2-3 of these at a time and had to clean up in-between. I realized that after a few, the mask got too wet and stuck to the cardstock.

I stamped the flower, sentiment, and background with the Color & Contour stamps and then used the coordinating Scalloped Contours Dies to cut out the flower and scalloped die-cuts in the background.

Then, I used Stampin’ Blends Markers to color the flowers and added a little bit of glitz with a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

I love how well the 2021-2023 In Colors coordinate together. The final touch was a few 2021-2023 In Color Jewels (my favorite new embellishment!)

I even stamped the envelopes.

Have a wonderful and creative day!
