Since Valentine’s Day is coming soon, I decided to start designing cards for my family. I chose the beautiful Forever & Always stamps, coordinating Always Dies (purchase the two in a bundle to save 10%), and True Love Designer Series Paper. You can find this whole suite of coordinating products on page 11 of the January-June Mini Catalog.
I particularly love the True Love Designer Series Paper. For all the florals on this card, I simply cut them out of different sheets of the designer series paper and colored them with Stampin’ Blends Markers; no stamping involved. The only stamping I did was the sentiment strip.
I colored the flowers with Rococo Rose and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends Markers, the leaves with Old Olive and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends Markers, and the small buds with So Saffron and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers. My trick to get the white highlights is to leave a little bit uncolored and then use a Color Lifter Marker to blend.
For the background, I used another sheet of True Love Designer Series Paper and added both Rococo Rose and Petal Pink ink with a Blending Brush.
Final detail include some Elegant Faceted Gems, a little strip of Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen Ribbon under the sentiment, and some Blushing Bride Twine, which is part of the Snail Mail Combo Pack.
There are so many great products in the new catalog; I’m excited to see what the other designers picked for their projects. Next up is Debbie Henderson with Debbie’s Designs. Be sure to click the button below and check out her amazing work!
Have a wonderful and creative day!
