#WWYS208 — Incredible Like You

By | February 25, 2019

The What Will You Stamp? Challenge Blog is featuring the Incredible Like You stamp set this week. You can find this set on page 21 of the Occasions catalog, and it’s designed to coordinate with the Incredible Like You Project Kit. (While I did not use the project kit on my card, it’s really gorgeous and worth checking out.)

This is a beautiful stamp set, featuring two-step photopolymer stamps designed to look like watercoloring, and four really lovely sentiments. While I received this stamp set during Convention last November, this is the first time I’ve used it. Don’t ask me why, because I realized I really love it!

I have to admit that I’m normally not that good at two-step stamping and typically need to use a Stamparatus Tool to help me with placement. However, this particular stamp set is SUPER easy to line up and I had no problem aligning the stamps by hand.

Tip: Stamp the detailed stamp first using a darker color ink and then stamp the background over it with a lighter color.

For color inspiration, I used the palette from the new new Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper. This paper is bundled with the Painted Seasons stamp set and is available to earn for free during Sale-A-Bration when you make a purchase of $100. The colors include Poppy Parade, Grapefruit Grove, Mango Melody, Petal Pink, Call Me Clover, Lemon Lime Twist, and Pool Party.

I stamped the flowers on Shimmery White Cardstock with two ink colors each. Then, I used an Aqua Painter to very lightly blend the colors. I used the same technique with the leaves.

For the stripes in the background, I inked up the stamp with Pool Party, and then prior to stamping, I used an Aqua Painter to brush clear water over the stamp. I love how adding the water to the stamp helps the image truly look watercolored.

I’m obsessed with two trends lately … 1) white embossed sentiments and 2) Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies. It seems like I use them on every card, but I just can’t help it.

As a final touch, I added some wooden flowers. You can earn these for free with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration in the Butterfly Elements pack.

Supplies used on my card:

Have a wonderful and creative day!
