Hello! I have a fun and festive Christmas card to share today, featuring the Wonderful Life stamp set. This is one of my favorite holiday stamp sets, because it’s so cute!!! It reminds me of packing up the car to visit grandparents on Christmas day.
But this stamp set works great for WAY more than just the holidays! There are all sorts of embellishments for the car, so you can create projects for weddings, thank yous, and Fall as well.
I’ve been having so much fun with my new Stampin’ Blends markers that I simply wanted to stamp a scene and color it. I used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp on Whisper White cardstock. Then, I just sat down and colored away. It makes me feel like a kid again!
For this scene, I tried to think where the shadows would be, and used the dark colored markers to make my car come to life. I followed by using the Color Lifter marker to take away color from areas the light would hit. I also used the Color Lifter marker to blend the “road” out into the white background.
Each marker has two sides, a fine point for smaller areas and a brush for larger ones.
To add a little interest to the background, I used the Winter Wonder Textured Impression Embossing Folder. I love this huge snowflake … it’s so festive!
There’s also a little touch of Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper on my card (again with snowflakes.)
Finally, you know me, I just HAD to add some holiday glitz and glimmer. I backed the main scene with Silver Glimmer Paper and then added “silver” embellishments. The Clear Faceted Gems look silver when placed over the glimmer paper, and the Silver 3/8″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon is just gorgeous!!! It’s going a lot of my holiday cards!
