Sneak Peak – New Country Home!

By | August 15, 2018

Are you ready for the holidays?  Well ready or not, here they come.  The new Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog is coming out on September 5th, and OH MY GOODNESS, I’m in LOVE with it!  Sorry for all the caps, but I have to say this is really a good one … actually it’s A GREAT ONE!!!  I had a horrible time choosing for my pre-order, I was so in love with everything!  I need more money!

In the end, I decided to be smart and order a few Fall themed bundles.  I have lots of guy birthday cards to make in September and October, plus my anniversary is in November, and nature and fall themed sets will work well for those.

My project today features the Country Home stamp set and several new coordinating products, including Country Lane Designer Series Paper, Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impression Embossing Folder, some new colors of Stampin’ Blends (Blackberry Bliss and Cajun Craze), and some gorgeous new Braided Linen Trim!!!

I made this little gift box for my Stamp Club next Monday.  It’s got a fun surprise inside for a lucky winner:)  I used a Silver Mini Gable Box and embossed it with my new favorite textured impression embossing folder (TIEF) – Tin Tile.  Isn’t it gorgeous???  LOVE!!!

This is a wide TIEF, so to fit the box through my Big Shot, I had to orient the box right side up and wrap the TIEF around the whole box.  (I tried disassembling the box, so I could emboss each side separately, and it just didn’t work.  So I decided to not worry about the fact that two sides would be “inies” versus outies.

After embossing the lower half of the box, I used a sponge and StazOn ink to add a distressed look.  I love the way it brings out the pattern of the TIEF!

I needed to keep my tag fairly small to coordinate with the box, so I ended up only stamping a portion of the adorable jug and flowers.  I stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Whisper White Cardstock so I could color with Stampin’ Blends.

The new Holiday Catalog has several new colors of Stampin’ Blends Markers, including two that go with this suite:  Blackberry Bliss and Cajun Craze.  I was so excited to see the addition of Blackberry Bliss, since it’s one of my favorite Stampin’ Up! colors.  You can see the other Stampin’ Blends colors I used below in the list of supplies.  To add a little depth, I used Mint Macaron in the background and blended it out with a Color Lifter marker.

This is such a cute stamp set!  There are a few different flower arrangements to add to the jugs.  It’s super easy to line up the stamps, especially with a Stamparatus.  The set also includes this tiny oval tag and several words to stamp inside.

I created the tag itself with a few of the Country Lane Designer Series Papers and Scalloped Tag Topper and Banner Triple punches.  That makes it a snap.

Now, how about that awesome Braided Linen Trim?  I already adore plain Linen Thread … I have quite a stash to make sure I never run out.  But this stuff is so cool!  It frays really nice too for a great grungy look.

The final touch was some die cut leaves in the background.  I used one of my favorite dies; a triple leaf die from Sweet Cake Framelits Dies.

Supplies used on my gift:
