Happy Friday! We have a new inspiration challenge at TGIF Challenges this week using the photo below. Since I’ve been creating a lot of flower cards lately, I decided to switch things up and use the basic layout of the sketch below, but with leaves. My card features the Leaf Collection Background Stamp as well as the Sweetly Scripted Stamp Set and Sketched Butterflies Bundle.
As you can see, the Leaf Collection Stamp is one big background stamp. I ended up stamping it twice and fussy cutting the leaves to add to my card. The first time, I inked up the stamp with Granny Apple Green and then used Sponge Daubers to add Shy Shamrock and then Shaded Spruce to portions of the leaves. Afterwards, I gave the stamp a light spritz before stamping on Basic White Cardstock. It turned out great!

The second time, I inked up the stamp with Shy Shamrock and used a Sponge Dauber to add Shaded Spruce ink to portions of the leaves. That time, I accidentally spritzed too much water, so the outline of the leaves was a little fuzzy. But, instead of re-stamping, I fussy cut without a border. I still loved the results.
For the sentiment and butterfly, I embossed them in white on Crumb Cake Cardstock. Then, I used a layer of Country Woods Designer Series Paper in the background.
The final touch was a few 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems.
Be sure to pop over to the TGIF Challenges Blog and check out all the designers’ interpretation of this week’s sketch. Then, create one of your own and join our challenge by adding it to the bottom of that post.
Have a wonderful and creative day!
