Hello and welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for October 2022. This month, we have a super pretty color combination of Early Espresso, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, and Bermuda Bay. This is definitely another color combo I never would have dreamed up myself, so once again, I appreciate these fun challenges.
The brown and gold colors made me think of Fall and the changing seasons, so I decided to try out a new stamp set I just received, the Soft Seedling Stamp Set.
I started with the background, which is a layer of Shimmery White Cardstock, by randomly stamping the large leaf image. I inked up the stamp with one of the lighter ink colors (Mango Melody or Granny Apple Green), and then added Early Espresso ink with a Blending Brush directly onto the stamp. Afterwards, I lightly spritzed the layer with water, and then used a Water Painter to fill in the remaining background with Bermuda Bay ink. When I was finished, I lightly spritzed the layer again and added water drops. Once the paper dried, I added Mango Melody and Early Espresso splatters using Stampin’ Write Markers.
In the foreground, I stamped one more leaf image using the same process as above and then cut it out to layer over a circle of Laying Designs Vellum and some frayed Linen Thread.
For the sentiment, I randomly watercolored some Shimmery White Cardstock and then embossed it in gold.
These colors are so rich and warm together! I love them!
