Welcome to the June Color Fusers Blog Hop! Each month, we have this blog hop with a different color combination. It’s so fun to see what all the designers come up with using the same colors!!! So be sure to follow along. You can see a list of all the blog hop participants at the end of this post.
I have to be honest that I was a little stumped at first. These colors are pretty far away from my typical style. But then, I remembered that I had pre-ordered the ADORABLE Over The Moon stamp set!!!! It was perfect!

I seriously fell in love when I first saw the images in this stamp set. They are so freaking cute!!! I decided to create a little moonlight scene of my sweet cow.

To create the vibrant colors in the background, I used a watercolor technique with Stampin’ Write Markers that is super easy!!! I colored Watercolor Paper with the brush end of my Blueberry Bushel and Gray Granite markers slightly smaller than the area I wanted for the end result. (Note: It’s really important to use Watercolor Paper for this technique.) Afterwards, I used an Aqua Painter to activate the ink and paint the bold watercolor washes.
Tip: Let the Blueberry Bushel ink dry before activating the Gray Granite ink so they don’t run together too much.

After the background ink dried, I held my Aqua Painter over the Watercolor Paper and tapped the barrel to splatter clear drops of water over the sky. Then, I waited 30 seconds and patted with a paper towel. The drops remove some of the ink to create “stars”.

I stamped the cow, thought bubble, and moon with Stazon ink on Watercolor Paper, and then cut them out with scissors. Afterwards, I used an Aqua Painter to watercolor them. For the “pink” on the cow’s ears and nose, I simply used Red Real ink mixed with a lot of water.
I cut the pretty border at the bottom using the new Magnolia Memories Dies!

Be sure to continue on through the Color Fusers Blog Hop for lots of great color inspiration. Next up is the talented Nicolle Belesimo.
