I have something fun to share today! It’s a preview of one of the new stamp sets from the upcoming Mini Catalog (products available to purchase January 3 to June 2, 2020!!!) I won this stamp set indirectly through prize patrol. The actual winner, Kimberly Morris, received two stamp sets and was instructed to pick another demonstrator she didn’t know to give one away. I guess I looked very excited, because she picked me! Yippee!!!! Thank you so much! I’ll be sending you this card as a thank you:)
The stamp set is called Breathtaking Bouquet. It is a background stamp that you can find on page 31 of the Mini Catalog and it’s available to purchase in both cling and wood.
I stamped the image multiple times with Memento Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, so I could cut out some of the flowers and make them pop up.
I colored the flowers and leaves with Stampin’ Blends Markers, including Real Red, Flirty Flamingo, Petal Pink, and Shaded Spruce.
While this stamp set was designed for Spring, I decided to use holiday colors and turn it into a Christmas card, just to show it’s versatility.
Tips for coloring with Stampin’ Blends:
- I like to start with the dark marker first and color in small sections. These alcohol markers dry quickly, so you’ll get the best blending results by coloring in small sections.
- Next, I use the light marker to go over the dark area in order to reactivate the ink and blend to the lighter areas.
- Finally, I used the Color Lifter marker to add highlights.
With all that coloring, I felt like this card just needed a simple greeting. The Merry Christmas Dies and Merry Christmas to All stamp set were perfect.
Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow!!!
