At first glance, the Sure Do Love You stamps and coordinating Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies look very girly and traditional.  But included in… Read More »

“Snowy” Waterfront

Today, I have one more card featuring the Waterfront stamp set.  I just love this stamp set and can’t stop using it.  There are SO MANY possibilities and I’ve seen such incredible inspiration on social media.  Every time I set it aside, I see something else I’ve just got to try!!! #TGIFC144 – Card in a Box

It’s time for another TGIF Challenge!  This week is a technique challenge to create a “Card in a Box.”  To see all the designers amazing projects, go to the TGIF Challenges website. I decided to go literal and make a traditional card in a box, but I think you could use some freedom in interpretation for this challenge and come up with other shapes and ideas.  For example, I almost… Read More »

Patriotic Sympathy

Sympathy cards are so hard to do!  I usually don’t have many (if any) on hand, so when I make them, it’s usually because of an immediate need.  Then, it’s hard to get creative when you’re feeling sad.  I really need to start making two at a time, so I have one left in inventory. Last week, a very dear friend of my husband’s passed away.  He was simply an… Read More »

Cake Soiree

Hello Friends!!!  I know I haven’t posted for a while.  About a week ago, I drove to my mom’s house for a much needed visit after the holidays.  We had so much fun visiting, hiking, playing cards, crafting, and even going to a local violin concert.  But then I got back, and it’s been pretty hectic ever since.  Lots to do with year-end. I have a few projects to share from my visit,… Read More »

“Painting” with Stamps

I am crazy about the new Waterfront stamp set!  I knew immediately that it was going to be one of my all-time favorites, but now that I’ve used it a few times, I’m realizing it’s even better than expected.  I particularly love the watercolor style of the stamps and the individual brush stroke stamps that I can use to “paint” a picture. What’s even better is sharing ideas with other… Read More »

Happy New Year!  Well, almost… I was playing with my new Brusho Crystal Colours again today and thought it would be fun to experiment a little.  So, I tried using Brusho on top of Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP.)  I figured I might be able to create a background that looked like fireworks, and it worked!!! Christmas Gold

Today, I have a quick idea for a small holiday gift.  This is a bag I used for a door prize at my Stamp Workshop last week.  It’s easy to put together, but looks like you put in a lot of effort.  (Gotta love that!!!) To start out, I stamped the greeting from the Watercolor Christmas stamp set with Cherry Cobbler ink on Whisper White paper and quickly embossed it in clear,… Read More »
