I’ve heard of Christmas in July, but Christmas in June? I know it seems early in the year to be sharing Christmas projects, but I recently had the amazing opportunity to present these projects during Creativity Now, a Stampin’ Up! crafting event for demonstrators. My presentation featured projects designed with the Sweet Candy Canes Bundle and Sweetest Christmas Suite. (Both are in the new July-December Mini Catalog going live on July 1, 2022.) In a previous post, I shared the projects I demonstrated during the event. These are all the extra projects that I showed at the end of the presentation.
Candy Cane Kisses Treat:
I had so much fun designing projects for my presentation that I had a bunch of extras! This first one is a fun holiday treat created with candy canes. I saw this idea on Pinterest and thought it was so clever! Plus, I really wanted to integrate some candy canes into my projects, since the Candy Canes Dies includes this adorable tag that fits over real candy canes!
I tied the candy canes together with Linen Thread and then cut out the tags from festive Real Red Glimmer Paper.
Similar to the projects I previously shared, I used leftover watercolored leaves to decorate my treats. In addition, while it may be hard to see, I inked up the sentiment with both Versamark and Garden Green ink at the same time, so I could emboss it in clear, adding a little extra dimension.

It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year Card:
My next projects features a background created with an alcohol ink blending technique.
I used Real Red, Sweet Sorbet, and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Combo Packs to draw on Vellum Paper. Then, I dipped a paint brush into 91% Isopropyl Alcohol to push the ink and create abstract designs. To intensify the color (especially the Pool Party portion), I repeated the process a couple times. I love how pretty this background looks behind the White Glimmer Paper diagonal die-cut!

Scalloped Kraft Treat Box:
My next project is a treat box filled with Christmas goodies. I love all the choices of treat boxes and bags Stampin’ Up! offers!!! It makes creating fun gifts like this so easy.
I created a belly band with the beautiful Sweetest Christmas 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and then added a tag created with Layering Circles Dies. The top circle is cut from pre-watercolored Shimmery White Cardstock using Cherry Cobbler and Sweet Sorbet ink.
On the Candy Canes die-cut tag, I added a couple of the White Glimmer Paper strips leftover from the diagonal background cut for the card above!
I was trying to think of fun ways to use the Candy Canes tag die-cut, so on this card, I accordion folded some Garden Green ribbon (and stapled it in the center underneath where you can’t see) and poked it through the holes.

Kraft Gift Box:
My last project is a Kraft Gift Box, filled with Christmas chocolates. I stamped the box lid with Crumb Cake prior to assembling it and again created a belly band with Sweetest Christmas DSP>
This time, I used the Tailor Made Tags Dies to cut the tags from Real Red Glimmer Paper and pre-watercolored Shimmery White Cardstock. Then, I dry embossed the Stylish Shapes circle die-cut with the Wintery 3D Embossing Folder.
Then, I simply covered the Candy Canes tag holes with leaf die-cuts.
