Color Fusers Blog Hop — September 2026

By | September 7, 2026

Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for September 2026. This month, our color combination includes Crumb Cake, Blackberry Bliss, Pumpkin Pie, and Daffodil Delight, all perfect colors for Fall. Speaking of Fall, I just got the new Elegant Leaves Bundle from the September-December (SD) Catalog and wanted to give them a try. They include beautiful detail dies that coordinate with matching background ones (which are also designed to cut out the coordinating stamped images when used.)

With a Fall card in mind, I also dug through my stash to find several Crumb Cake colored patterned papers for my background that would coordinate with the Elegant Leaves Bundle. They include the Glow of Harvest Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) (a prior Product of the Month that’s still available to purchase for only $5 USD with a qualifying purchase of $75 USD or more,) Country Woods DSP, and Wood Grain Wonders DSP. I layered all three in the background.

To create the leaves, I used Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. In the background, I painted a simple ombre wash with Crumb Cake ink. Then, for the detailed leaf die-cuts, I added splatter with the challenge colors. After the watercoloring dried, I added more splatter to the detailed dies with dark Blackberry Bliss, Pumpkin Pie, and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Underneath each leaf, I die-cut a second matching shape from the cardstock and then dry embossed each one with the Textured Tree Ring 3D Embossing Folder.

I heat embossed the sentiment in gold on Basic White Cardstock and cut it out with the Three Banner Punch. Afterwards, I layered it over some retired Gold/White 3/8″ Ribbon that I adhered in a ruffle pattern with Tear & Tape Adhesive. Tip: To keep the sentiment banner flat, place a small strip of Dimensionals along the top edge of the backside and a strip of Tear & Tape on the lower edge of the backside of the banner.

To finish the card front, I added some new Gold Adhesive Backed Dots. (I can already foresee these being a favorite of mine!) Then, on the inside, I heat embossed another sentiment from the Elegant Leaves Bundle and added some leftover strips of DSP and one more leaf combo.
