#WWYS212 — Wonderful Romance

By | March 25, 2019

The What Will You Stamp? Challenge Blog is featuring the Wonderful Romance stamp set this week! When I initially looked through the Occasions catalog, this whole suite of products was the one that really jumped out at me. You can find it on pages 10 and 11, including the stamps, coordinating papers, die cuts, and embellishments. They are so pretty and feminine … just my style.

For my card, I did something a little different and paired this stamp set with the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper. You can earn this paper for free with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration through March 31, 2019!!! I absolutely LOVE this paper, because it includes these really gorgeous marble designs.

I used the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies to cut out both the background and Vellum layers.

Next, I stamped the Wonderful Romance stamps with Smoky Slate ink and colored them with Stampin’ Blends Markers. (See list of colors below under supplies.) Typically, you should use Stampin’ Blends Markers with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and Whisper White Cardstock. However, I wanted a softer look, so I decided to be daring and try Smoky Slate ink, and it worked!

I stamped and cut out some extra flowers to layer and really make them pop-out.

The bouquet stamp is so pretty that I didn’t want to cover it up with a sentiment that was too large, so I decided to simply cut out a few select words from the various stamps. Both were embossed in white on Early Espresso Cardstock.

I’m sad to report that the coordinating Wonderful Floral Framelits Die cuts were so popular that they sold out are now discontinued. I adore the embossed leaves in that set. To really make the embossing stand out, I ran the die cut through my Big Shot a second time using the Big Shot Embossing Mats.

As a final touch, I added a bow tied with Petal Pink Metallic Ribbon.

Hope you like my card. Be sure to click over to the What Will You Stamp? Challenge Blog to see all the designers’ projects using this stamp set this week.

Have a wonderful and creative day!
