This week, the What Will You Stamp? Challenge Blog is featuring the Vibrant Vases stamp set (see Occasions catalog p. 23.) This stamp set has a lot of great options and is made to coordinate with the Vase Builder Punch from the Annual Catalog. Initially, I forgot to order the coordinating punch and was very disappointed. So learn from my mistake!!!
I decided to keep things fairly simple for this card and embossed all the stamped images in white and then watercolored them. I stamped multiple images of the flowers, so I could cut out some extra flowers and give the bouquets some dimension. In fact, I even cut out a small little petal to place at the bottom of one of the vases.
Most of this card was really easy. The tulips were probably the most challenging, but even those were fairly easy with the Vase Builder Punch. I ended up stamping and embossing 11 flowers and at least 9 leaves. When I layered it all, I decided I really didn’t need to worry about stamping stems because the bouquet look full enough.
Since I planned to use some Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper in the background, I selected colors for my flowers that would coordinate. I colored the left set of flowers with Petal Pink and Poppy Parade, the middle ones with Pineapple Punch and Mango Melody, and the right ones with Poppy Parade and Grapefruit Grove. Then, I watercolored the leaves with Call Me Clover and Lemon Lime Twist ink.
Remember that you can earn this pretty background designer series paper for free with a $50 purchase by March 31, 2019!
I watercolored all the vases with Night of Navy to match the pretty Gingham Ribbon.
Be sure to click over to the What Will You Stamp? Challenge Blog and check out all the designers’ projects using this great stamp set. At the bottom of that post, you can add your own project for a chance to win this week. I would love to see your ideas!
Have a wonderful and creative week!
