Happy Valentine’s Day! Hope your day is filled with love!
One of my favorite things to do is create Valentine’s Day treats. It’s a perfect way to share some love and chocolate! This year, I filled some Clear Tiny Treat Boxes and decorated them with coordinating colors. I have three versions of the same basic design.
The first version uses a color combination of Real Red and Gold.
I embossed the greeting on cardstock using the Well Said stamp set and cut it out with a Stitched Nested Die. I also embossed the heart on vellum paper using the Meant To Be stamp set and cut it out with the coordinating Stitched Be Mine Die.
The second version uses a color combination of Melon Mambo and Gold.
To create the flowers, I used the Medium Daisy Punch to punch out three daisies from Whisper White Cardstock, and the Small Bloom Punch (free during Sale-A-Bration with a $100 qualifying purchase) to punch out two flowers from cardstock. Then, I used a sponge dauber to add ink to the tips of the daisy petals (front and back). After curling the petals of all the layers with a Bone Folder, I assembled each flower with hot glue. In the center, I added a Basic Rhinestone Jewel that I colored with a Stampin’ Blends marker.
The third version uses a color combination of Lovely Lipstick, Silver and White.
I used the Leaf Punch to punch out the leaves from metallic foil, and tied the boxes with either Gold 1/4″ Shimmer Ribbon or Lovely Lipstick 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon. Then, I slipped the hearts underneath the ribbon, and adhered everything together with hot glue. The ribbon can easily be slipped off, like a belly band, in order to open the box and eat the chocolates!!!
You can see that I was a very busy girl!
Hope you have a lovely day and long weekend!
