#TGIFC242 – Sketch Challenge

By | December 13, 2019

Happy Friday! Welcome to a new TGIF Sketch Challenge!!! When I first saw this sketch, I was drawn to the pretty filigree in the background. In fact, the whole sketch looked very elegant to me, so I decided to stick with that theme and create an entire card just using white and gold.

I used the Perfect Parcels Dies to cut the filigree from Whisper White cardstock, and then I splattered the die cuts using an Aqua Painter and some Golden Glitz Delicata Metallic Ink Refill.

I also used the Golden Glitz Delicata Metallic Ink Refill to watercolor over the three Perfectly Plaid trees that I embossed in white on Whisper White Cardstock. I love the variegated look of using this ink to watercolor!

After punching out the trees with the coordinating Pine Tree Punch, I layered each one over a Gold Foil frame cut with the Layering Squares Dies.

Lastly, I added a background layer using the Subtle Embossing 3D Folder. I love how this card turned out, especially all the textures and layers.
